Since 2009, the toll rate for German truck tolls has been calculated too high. This has been definitively confirmed for the period from 2009 to 2014 by the rulings of the European Court of Justice (ECJ) on 28.10.2020 (Case C-321/19) and the Higher Administrative Court of Münster on 30.11.2021 (9 A 118/16). The refund, including interest, amounted to approximately 12.8%.
Further model proceedings are pending before administrative courts in Germany for later periods. Similar refund rates are expected. In the proceedings for the periods 2016–2020, the Administrative Court of Cologne ruled in case 14 K 6556/20 on 20.03.2024 that the relevant part of the toll calculation was also contrary to EU law.

Personal data such as the email address provided by the user, name, and IP address, are processed in accordance with Article 6(1)(a) and (c) of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, and repealing Directive 95/46/EC (hereinafter referred to as “GDPR”), for the purpose of sending a newsletter (if the user has expressed such interest).
4. The data subject has the right to withdraw consent to the processing of their personal data at any time.
5. The Controller processes personal data lawfully, collects it for specified and legitimate purposes, and does not process it further in a manner incompatible with those purposes.
